We are really excited about our forthcoming event at Coventry Canal Basin. It’s been challenging to get permission from the authorities for this occasion and so we want a really good turn out to come and join our session.
The Invocation event is the brainchild of Emily Hobson. Emily is a respected academic working with Scandinavian folklore and has been investigating the clear links between recent Phenomena sighted in the Coventry canal and Swedish folk tales.
She plans to reintroduce a ritual of invocation on the water that’s been used for centuries across Scandinavia, to commune with the otherworldly. This is a real coup for the Diviners and we will also obviously be using scientific methods to record any phenomena that respond to the ritual.
